DISCOVER THE WONDERS OF THE FIBONACCI SEQUENCE IN NATURE
What is the Fibonacci Sequence?
The Fibonacci Sequence is a series of numbers that create a pattern. This pattern can be found in almost everything; petal symmetry, nautilus shells, the fruit sprouts, pineapple spirals...the list goes on and on.
Learning and observing the Fibonacci sequence in nature is a beautiful way for children to understand the importance of number sequences and patterning in the real world.
We will learn what the sequence is, look and examine different objects from nature. We will make art pieces and read stories around the subject. We will nurture public speaking and poetry recitation, yoga and mindfulness as tools to explore each lesson.
Each week is designed to spark curiosity, nurture self-confidence and to delve into the connection between the environments within us and outside of us.
Summer Camp is limited to 12 students. With a 6:1 child/ mentor ratio.
Registration Fee: $220. A non-refundable deposit of $85 is required to hold your spot and will go towards registration fee. (Once the deposit is received we will email you an invoice for the remaining balance).
MATERIALS NEEDED:
Pencil, colored pencils or markers, a blank drawing book and a Yoga Mat
Each student should bring a lunch box and a water bottle that they can open and close independently. Please make sure your child wears weather appropriate clothing and shorts under skirts/dresses.
Summer Camp Details:
Camp Begins: The week of June 26, 2023 to July 31, 2023
Ages: 4yo - 12yo (Will be separated in two groups, 4-5 and 6-12)
Mondays from 10am to 2pm (Huntington Beach/ Seal Beach Area)
Wednesdays from 10am to 2pm (South Irvine Area)
Locations: Different Natural Parks/Beaches around above areas. Locations will be provided upon registration.
This is a drop-off camp. Parents are welcomed to stay.

This program has been a highlight of our son's journey this school year. We belong to a charter and have been able to use journal entries, science experiments, and crafts as "work samples" on a monthly basis - something that is important and valuable.
